The market didn't have it. So we built it.

We'd fished with everything out there. Packs that were close. Packs that almost worked. The zipper that catches when the hatch is on. The strap that creeps mid-wade. Pockets you have to dig through when it matters. We wrote down everything that had ever annoyed us on the water and built backward from that list.

The FP1 is the result. One main compartment. Two quick-access pockets. G-hooks that don't shift in current. Sits flat against your chest so your cast stays clean. Nothing moves that shouldn't. Nothing's in the way when you need to be.

We reduced until all that was left was pure intention and function. No extra pockets. No features to justify. Just the stuff that earns its place on a long day wading.

Built for the person who's already thought about this stuff. Who notices when something's off and can't unfeel it. Who's been fishing long enough to know the difference between a pack that works and one that disappears into how you fish.

Built for movement.

Sizing/Fit

The FP1 is designed to fit a wide range of body types and layering setups. The adjustable chest strap and shoulder harness give you enough range to dial it in whether you're fishing a base layer in August or a wading jacket in November.

Adjustability
Chest strap adjusts around the chest. Shoulder straps are independently adjustable for a centered, balanced carry. G-hooks allow for quick on/off without removing layers.

Fit Tips
Wear it where you'll fish it. Chest packs sit best when snugged just below the collarbone — high enough to stay out of your casting stroke, low enough to access without breaking your drift. If it's riding your chin, bring the shoulder straps up. If it's dropping toward your stomach, tighten the chest strap first.

Absolutely love the Static FP1. It’s lightweight, compact, and holds exactly the right amount of stuff without feeling bulky. Everything stays secure, organized, and easy to access, which makes it really nice to use on the move.

The quick-access pockets, water-resistant materials, and magnetic attachments are all really well thought out. I also added the phone leash, which has already saved my phone from taking a swim more than once.

I bought it specifically for fly fishing, but honestly, It shows potential in many other activites: hiking, climbing, biking, etc. It’s just a really versatile little pack.

I’ve put my hands on a lot of sewn goods, and it’s obvious that Static knows what they are doing. Super functional, super secure, and just a really damn nice piece of gear.

This FP1 and the accessories (NH1, TC1, Gink1, PL1) are all I'll ever need for any fly fishing excursion. The entire system keeps all my gear out of the way, yet highly accessible.

For years I fought my gear, and it truly took away from the fishing: net swinging around my waist, dragging in the river and snagging on branches. Digging through my bulky hip pack looking for gink or tippet. Situating my pack out of the way during casting or sitting.

The construction quality and materials are top notch. The design is well thought out and each part of my kit has a dedicated spot. The biggest game changer is the net holster, stashing super securely on my back, and I can draw it in an instant.

Yes it is very minimal, but it can easily carry the essentials. It's quickly made me realize I've carried too much gear for 90% of my fishing. There's no need to haul around a 15L hip pack to fish for an hour next to the highway. When I need to carry more, I'll simply load up my hip pack or day pack along with the FP1.

Excellent pack, perfect size for the fishing basics. Good option to take on backpacking, float trips and day hikes.

This thing exceeded my expectations. For such a small pack, I was surprised how much I can fit in here. You can tell it was designed with intention. The magnetic net holder is a game changer. Every feature I need and nothing don’t.

Love this pack. Super lightweight, holds everything I actually need, and doesn’t feel bulky while I’m fishing. The magnetic forceps slot is probably my favorite feature. Simple, functional, and really well thought out.

The best cheat rig on the market. No question. It’s simple, but so well thought-out, that literally no one will ever beat it. All the other cheat rigs are inferior. While designed for Tenkara, I challenge any fisherman to put this on and not fall in love. Buy it. Don’t question. Enjoy it.
